There are a few interesting things happening at the hangar lately.
The plane Jeyson has been working on since we arrived is complete and headed to Honduras right now.
One of the projects Jeyson worked on was removing the nice carpeted floor and creating this wood floor system so the missionaries can tie down lots of cargo "truck style". It has lots of panels so that if something needs to be fixed under the whole thing doesn't need to be removed.
This plane is also just about finished. This is a homebuilt plane that a missionary who is just beginning a flight ministry in Mexico is working on. He built most of it at home but just needed the structure of a shop (MMS) to finish up the rest.
So Ethan came over to MMS a few months ago and has been working on his plane at the hangar and is just putting the finishing details on it. Now it's time for him to fly 40 hours in it locally before they take off for Mexico.
This big plane is a King Air and is owned by the equivalent of Billy Graham to the Chinese people in the United States.
He and his ministry team have a HUGE and very effective evangelism ministry that requires them to constantly travel all over the country. The leader himself has a pilot's license and flies the team and MMS does all the maintenance for his planes. It just headed out the door again the other day and is headed for more ministry. Here's the interior...a fun project for everyone.
