It's such a strange feeling to be whisked away from one continent and land on a completely different one in a matter of just a few hours. For weeks it can be a bit disorienting to try to find your way around a culture that used to be so familiar, but that you've forgotten the ins and outs of. But at the same time it's a total blast to suddenly have unlimited access to so many of your favorite things that you missed.
Yes, furlough has begun and we're busy finding our footing and soaking up the big things and the little things.
Like sweet corn...
Cousins galore...
And tinkering around with some of our long forgotten hobbies.
These first weeks we have been on the west coast, spending time in California and Arizona, and next up is a 2 months trip with various stops along the eastern part of the US. Should be an adventure to be nomads with 2 kids in tow!
