The kids from the Xavante tribe were really sweet, and although we couldn't communicate in words (most didn't speak any Portuguese) we communicated easily through smiles, laughter, and gestures. There was one particular group from Asas that came with games and activities for the kids like this one....

Everyone grabbed a corner of a sheet and helped bounce up a ball on the sheet....

This was really different and a lot of fun for them

But even us, who weren't part of the kid's team, got to spend lots of time interacting with the Xavante children.

The houses in the village for a large circle...maybe about the size of one city block. The middle is covered with sand where the tribe plays soccer, volleyball, and the kids have fun. What a neat place to grow up!
And now for some faces.....
